Abstract

A data governance strategy is a recognized set of guidelines for ensuring the
appropriate management of an organization′s digital information. Such guidelines
can engross policies for business process management (BPM) and enterprise
risk planning (ERP), as well as safety measures, data superiority and solitude.
After four years of grounding and deliberation the GDPR was in conclusion
permitted by the EU Parliament on 14th April, 2016. With an enforcement date:
25th May 2018 the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the
Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and was designed to match up data privacy
laws across Europe, to look after and authorize all EU citizens’ data privacy
and to redesign the manner organizations across the globe move toward data
privacy.
