Abstract

Purpose: A computer-based routing and scheduling system of a delivery van was
developed for a Public Library System. The computer-based model was based on the
closest unvisited destination as well as other system constraints and was implemented
using a computing language. The solutions were compared to the existing manual
solutions and policy changes due to the implementation of the system are also
discussed.
